Modern Lessons From The Land of Oz

During the month of January, and aligned with the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States, and the first-ever female Vice President, we produced a four part program on the state of American politics. The short-form doc-styled mini series began with our journey down the famed “yellow brick road” from the L. Frank Baum book with Dorothy’s adventure for self discovery serving as an allegory to the politics of the Gilded Era. We ended the series with a comparison between Katniss from the Hunger Games book and movie series, serving as a potentially apt metaphor for the out-going presidency.
